FAQ
What types of pets do you photograph?
Dogs, cats, and pretty much any well-loved pet you want documented! If you have something a little more unusual, just ask.
What if my pet doesn’t sit still?
That’s completely okay! Your pet doesn’t need to be perfectly trained or perfectly behaved. I work with their personality and let the session unfold naturally.
Can my pet be photographed with me or my family?
Absolutely. Some of my favourite pet photographs are the ones that show the connection between an animal and their people.
Where do pet sessions take place?
Pet sessions can take place outdoors, at home, in the studio, or at another location that suits you and your pet. We’ll choose somewhere they’re comfortable and where we can create great images.
What should I bring to my pet’s session?
Bring anything your pet may need to feel comfortable, including treats, toys, water, waste bags, and a favourite comfort item. A little bribery is always welcome too!
How should we prepare for our pet’s session?
A little preparation can go a long way! Give your pet a chance to go potty before the session and, if possible, let them get some energy out with a walk or playtime beforehand. Bring their favourite treats, a toy or two, water, waste bags, and anything else that helps them feel comfortable. Most importantly, don’t stress about having a perfectly behaved pet — their personality is exactly what we’re there to capture!
What if my pet needs a break during the session?
That’s completely fine! We’ll take breaks whenever needed for water, snacks, cuddles, or simply a chance to reset. Your pet’s comfort always comes first.
How long does a pet session take?
Regular pet sessions are approximately 1 hour, giving us plenty of time to let your pet settle in, explore, take breaks, and capture a variety of photographs.
Do you photograph senior pets?
Absolutely. Every stage of your pet’s life deserves to be documented, and senior sessions can be especially meaningful. We’ll keep the pace comfortable and work around their needs.
Can you photograph pets with special needs or mobility limitations?
Absolutely. We’ll adapt the session to your pet’s comfort and abilities and focus on capturing their personality and the connection you share.
