My love for photography started long before I ever imagined turning it into a business. Growing up, my dad was always taking photos and videos of my brothers and me. At the time, I thought it was pretty annoying. Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful he did it.

Those photos became more than just pictures. They became memories, stories, and little pieces of our lives that we could look back on years later. And I think that’s where my love for photography really comes from.

My photography journey actually started with a Palm Pilot. Weird, I know. My dad won one and gave it to me, and the only feature I cared about was the camera. I was always the friend with a camera in her hand, ready to capture the random, funny, beautiful, and completely unplanned moments happening around me.

The camera eventually got a serious upgrade, but that part of me never changed. I still love capturing the moments that happen naturally — the laughs, the chaos, the connection, the little details, and all those in-between moments you don’t always realize are happening until you look back at the photographs.

For me, photography has never been about simply taking a pretty picture.

It’s about giving you something to look back on. Whether it’s the excitement of expecting a baby, the chaos of your kids being kids, the connection between you and your favourite person, the personality of your pet, an important milestone, your growing business, or one of the biggest days of your life — I want to capture what it actually felt like to be there. I want your photographs to feel like you.

That’s why I don’t believe every session should look the same. Every person, family, couple, pet, business, and celebration is different, and your photography experience should be too. I’ll give you direction when you need it, but I’ll also give you room to simply be yourselves. Some of my favourite photographs happen in the moments between the poses — when you’re laughing, moving, cuddling, looking at each other, or completely forgetting there’s a camera there.

When I’m not taking pictures, you’ll probably find me doing one of a few things: cooking or baking, travelling, spending time with family, hanging out with animals, or enjoying my favourite holidays — Halloween and Christmas. I absolutely love to travel and explore new places. There’s something about seeing somewhere new, experiencing different cultures, trying new food, and collecting memories along the way that I love. And, of course, I usually end up taking way too many photos while I’m doing it.
