FAQ

What if my kids don’t cooperate?

That’s completely normal! Kids don’t need to sit still, smile on command, or behave perfectly. I’ll use games, movement, prompts, and interaction to help them relax and let their personalities come through.

What if my child is shy?

No problem! I won’t force them into anything. We’ll give them time to warm up, and I’ll work at their pace so they can become comfortable with me and the camera.

Do you photograph both posed and candid photos?

Absolutely! We’ll capture some classic family portraits as well as plenty of candid moments — cuddles, laughs, playtime, and all those little interactions that feel like your family.

Can we include grandparents or extended family?

Absolutely! If you’re planning a larger family session, just let me know when you inquire so we can make sure we have enough time and space for everyone.

Can we include our pets?

Absolutely! Pets are part of the family too. If your location allows it, I’d love to include them in some or all of your session.

What should we wear?

I recommend coordinating rather than perfectly matching. Neutral tones, soft colours, and textures photograph beautifully, but most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable and like yourselves. I’m happy to help with outfit planning.

Should we prepare our kids for the session?

I’d keep it simple! Let them know we’re going to have fun and take some pictures, but don’t put pressure on them to “smile” or “behave.” The more relaxed everyone is, the more natural the photographs will be.

How long does a family session take?

Regular family sessions are approximately 1 hour, giving us plenty of time to capture a variety of photographs without feeling rushed. If you’re booking a mini session, those are shorter and have their own set time and format.
